+
+This guide will help you set up and test the Grocery Receipt Tracker with Discord integration.
+
+## Prerequisites
+
+- Python 3.8 or higher
+- Discord account
+- Basic understanding of command line operations

+## Step 1: Create a Discord Bot
+
+1. Go to the [Discord Developer Portal](https://discord.com/developers/applications)
+2. Click "New Application" and give it a name (e.g., "Grocery Receipt Tracker")
+3. Navigate to the "Bot" section in the left sidebar
+4. Click "Add Bot"
+5. Under "Privileged Gateway Intents", enable:
+   - MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT
+   - SERVER MEMBERS INTENT
+6. Click "Reset Token" and copy your bot token
+7. Save the token securely (you'll need it for the application)
